What is a high performance football programme and how does it differ from a football camp?

High-performance football programs are intensive, focused on skill development, physical conditioning, strategy, and competition—ideal for upper-intermediate to elite players.

Football camps are more recreational, offering training, optional language classes, and leisure activities. They’re suited for beginners to upper-intermediate players and often highlight a club’s culture and facilities.


What is a football trial?

Football trials are events where scouts assess young talent for team vacancies. There are two types:

  • Free trials: Hosted by top clubs, invite-only.
  • Paid trials (like those offered by Ertheo): Open-access, with several days of training and matches. Top performers may earn semi-pro opportunities. The fee includes training, full board, and accommodation.
